Biography
My name is Jessica van Vugt, 23 years and an amateur artist. I am a graduate in Creative Therapy and I currently work with visually impaired people. As a person I am creative, energetic and positive. I always try to inspire people to get the maximum use out everything and am allergic to decocum:’because it is supposed to’. I’m always up for a new challenge, love to travel and discovering new cultures. And for cheese you can always wake me up at night.
During my free time you’ll probably find my with the oilpaint and my brushes. I love it to be in my studio on a rainy evening in my studio and lose me in my passion. I generally paint realistic sceneries. And try with the way I paint to enlarge or dramatize the expressions and moods.
I am fascinated by people and their cultures. Their situation and ambiences are often the subject of my paintings. Through my painting I try to tell a story that fits the environment or experiences of the model and give them a stage to show the message. A message that is often can be read in the eyes of the person and is amplified by the way of painting. So the images I paint are ‘Real People’. The authenticity and purity is very important for me. I often paint and sketch people I encountered during my traveling.
